She was the oldest of all in the family. And even though she was older, a loss is a loss. A good life she lived? Yes, but love and tenderness can’t be replaced. The foundation for which we looked up to had fallen. An eye opening experience for everyone in the family.

The torch has been passed on. The closest in age was 20 years behind. It appears that everyone grew older in one day …….. including our teens. The responsibility to set the example for the next generation was now gently handed down. The eldest now resign as caregivers and start taking applications for the responsibilities they just finished. They know that all applicants have carefully judged their abilities over the years and at this point no gracious offer will be refused………..

When was the last time you heard someone say, “In my lifetime, I spent too much time with my family”…….

Touch can be loving, harsh, warm………and the list goes on.  What does touch mean to you?  A hug, hand on your arm, a back rub, an irritation.   Some people do not want to be touched.  Others are so “huggy,” you may run, when you see them coming. 

  When we look at the dynamics of touch, many may be conflicted.  Lack of touch in babies may cause failure to thrive.  But in today’s society, touch can be misunderstood.  Touch is complex.  Take time to ponder those ideas, with a friend.

  If you don’t want to be touched, just let people know you are sensitive in this area and hopefully they will respect your wishes.  If you need touch, look for appropriate ways to receive it.  Either way I hope you are happy with the results………..

Do you always feel like work is dragging you down?  Ask yourself …………Is it me or someone else?  Ok…………Now be honest and answer the question again.  Either way, I bet the list above is involved in some way.  

  Most people either love the gossiper or stand clear……Just remember if they are talking to you……..they are probably talking about you to someone else.

 Excuses don’t help any one succeed.  After awhile your excuses will become the joke of someone’s blog, so don’t let your failure be someone else’s success.

Finally,  Selfishness…….everyone has it……..Now it is just a contest of who can control it the best.  Try one day, to do one thing at work, that does not benefit you in ANY way.   Make sure there is nothing in return.

This is your first step to being Understanding.

   “What?……Positives to work? Other than a pay check? You have got to be kidding me…..Right?” 

     Sorry, not this time. Work is a complicated issue, but only because of the social dynamics involved. 

  But….

    Let’s look at your job from a different perspective.  Most “work”, in some small way is helping others, thus, you could be satisfied.  And if…. you were just a bit enthusiastic about your job, it might be contagious.  And…… just maybe, by that little change in your behavior, it could be an encouragement to someone else. 

 Wow….!

  I know this is not what some of you wanted to hear, especially if you hate your job.  But if you try this simple equation, it may change the way you look at work……..

  We will look at the negatives tomorrow if you’re still not board or bored.  Thanks for joining me….

 As I clicked away, this was the first song that came up. Ironic?  Coincidence?  I have no idea. But it sure feels good to hear, “I think you’re wonderful!” when my computer loads. Psychological for me? Subliminal for you?…….I hope so!
